Thought I'd get a windsurfing session in instead of travellin down to aberystwyth so loaded up the car and got there just before high tide, shoulda been 2 hours earlier really. Tony was already out and maxed out on his 6.5 so I rigged my 5.3 giving it loadsa luff for maximum power. Struggled initially as my mast track was too far forward so I messed about with that for an hour or so and got the perfect setup and I was blasting along amongst the 2-3 foot waves. Had a great time and got almost every water start spot on. Was well powered up and got some little jumps of some of the ramps unintentionally but it was great fun being out of control and then gaining control again. Tony was out in the big stuff round the corner for most of the session playing amongst the bigger waves going past sunderland point into Morecambe bay on some runs where the kite surfers were.
I attempted a few carve gybes for the first time as well unsuccessfully although I almost managed one which I was well chuffed with.
Hopefully there will be wind over the next week in Mid Wales although the forecast for winds pretty poor, got Mountain biking to fall back onto if no wind
